Dear Residents, Although there is still some snow on the ground, Spring is just around the corner, and March is the perfect time to get out and enjoy everything our Village has to offer. From family-friendly events to seasonal activities, there is something for everyone to enjoy in Lindenhurst this month. This month, we have several exciting events for the whole family: Eggstravaganza – Saturday, March 14, 11:00AM-2:00PM: Enjoy games, activities, and an egg hunt for children throughout our Downtown Business District. St. Patrick’s Parade – Sunday, March 21, 12:00PM: Celebrate Irish pride down Wellwood Avenue with Grand Marshal Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney.

MAYOR LAVORATA INDUCTED AS SCVOA EXECUTIVE BOARD PRESIDENT

Lindenhurst Mayor Michael Lavorata was recently sworn in as President of the Suffolk County Village Officials Association (SCVOA) Executive Board. Having served on the Executive Board since 2022, Mayor Lavorata now succeeds outgoing President, Village of Brightwaters Mayor John Valdini. The SCVOA’s mission is to inform, support, and advocate on behalf of the 32 villages of Suffolk County. Mayor Michael Lavorata said, “It’s a privilege to take on this role and continue working alongside such dedicated village leaders across Suffolk County.
