Dear Residents, Summer is just around the corner in the Village of Lindenhurst, bringing with it longer days, warmer weather, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy everything our community has to offer. Whether you’re attending a local event, visiting our downtown businesses, spending time with family and friends, or enjoying our beautiful waterfront, there is no shortage of ways to make the most of the season. This summer, we invite residents to take part in several exciting community events: • Free Summer Concert Series – Every Friday and Saturday evening from June 26 through September 26, 7:30 PM to 10:00

The next Village of Lindenhurst Board Meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 2:30 PM at the Rainbow Senior Center, 293 Buffalo Avenue, Lindenhurst, NY. Residents are encouraged to attend and participate. If you are unable to attend, you may submit your comments or questions by email to info@villageoflindenhurstny.gov. The Inc. Village of Lindenhurst and the Lindenhurst Historical Society are Partners working to restore a Historic Community Icon – the WWI Gatling Gun

Fundraising to support the restoration is now underway with Bricks and Minifigs — Donors will receive a Lego kit to build their own Gatling Gun replica The Inc. Village of Lindenhurst and the Lindenhurst Historical Society are pleased to announce their on-going effort to preserve and protect all things Lindenhurst with the restoration of a well-recognized and iconic community historic object –our WWI Gatling Gun- gifted in 1921 to Lindenhurst by the War Department. In 1922, the monument containing the Gatling Gun was completed, standing at the intersection of South Wellwood Avenue and Montauk Highway – marking the southern “gateway”
