Mayor's Message
Dear Residents, As we enter September and the fall season begins, I want to extend my best wishes to all of our students, families, and teachers as they start a new school year. This is always an exciting time filled with fresh opportunities, new routines, and community spirit. It is also a time when we see an increase in traffic around our schools and neighborhoods. I urge all motorists to be extra cautious during morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal. Please join the Village of Lindenhurst in celebrating America’s 250th anniversary at Lindenhurst Liberty Day on July 11th from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM!The event kicks off at 12:00 PM at the Village Square with a live reading of the Declaration of Independence, a George Washington costume contest for kids and adults, and family-friendly crafts and games.From 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the Colonial Crawl Walking History Tour will take place throughout downtown Lindenhurst. Participating businesses will each represent a different time period in American history, with docents stationed at each stop sharing information about national events during that era
